This project is to be conducted in a group of between 5 to 6 students. Under the tutelage of a lecturer, each group is required to choose a building at least 4-storey high which can be either public or commercial buildings (i.e. hotels, office blocks, hospitals and shopping malls). Each group is to perform a thorough study and analysis of all the following services systems associated to the building; i) mechanical ventilation and air-conditioning system, ii) electrical supply system, iii) water supply system, iv) sewerage and sanitary system, as well as v) fire protection system, and document their findings accordingly. The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate the understanding of students on the knowledge attained during this course.
